1. Your garden & sessions — on your device
Everything your personal use creates — focus sessions, oasis trees, seeds, your optional name, your region — is stored on your device and syncs only with your own iCloud account (CloudKit) when enabled. We can never access it.
2. Rooms — the optional social feature
Rooms let you study with others and run on Google's Firebase. Only when you use them, their servers store: your chosen display name, your room memberships, your live state during group sessions (planting, praying, on a break, completed, wilted), your per-room completed-trees counter, and an "online now" flag only while a room screen is open. Room data is hosted in the Dammam (Saudi Arabia) region; the realtime presence flag in Belgium (EU).
What Rooms do not store: no chats (there is no chat), no phone number, no location, and none of your study content.
3. App blocking (Screen Time)
When you enable protection, Azr3 uses Apple's official Family Controls API to block the apps you chose during a session. Your selections reach us as opaque tokens from the system — we never see your app names, their content, or your usage, and you can revoke the permission from iOS Settings at any time.
4. Location & prayer times
Location access (while-in-use only) is optional and used exclusively to compute accurate prayer times on your device. You can pick your city manually instead; either way your location never leaves the device.
5. Signing in: Apple or a username
Creating a Rooms account is entirely optional — Rooms work as a guest. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive only an opaque identifier; we never receive your Apple password, and your email reaches us only if you share it in Apple's dialog. If you create a username with a password: we never ask for your email at all, and the password is stored hashed by Firebase where we cannot read it — which honestly means we cannot recover it if you forget it.
6. Deleting your account & data
Your garden and sessions: inside the app: Settings → Sync & Account → "Delete account & data permanently" — erases everything from your device and from iCloud, immediately and irreversibly.
Your Rooms account: also inside the app: Rooms → your account card → "Delete account permanently" — removes your account and username from Firebase immediately. Deleting the app itself removes all local data.
7. The contact form on this site
If you write to us through the contact form we keep your name, email, and message solely to reply, plus a hashed IP fingerprint (SHA-256) for spam prevention — never linked to anything else or used for any other purpose.
8. What we never do
No ads, no advertising trackers or marketing analytics, no selling or sharing of data with anyone for commercial purposes, and no reading anything outside the app itself.
9. Your rights & contact
You can view all your data inside the app, disable iCloud sync at any time, and request deletion of contact messages by emailing hello@azr3.app. Any material change to this policy will be announced here with an updated date above.
